The Appointment Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a high quality of professionalism while answering incoming telephone calls. Exemplifies caring, understanding and patience while scheduling appointments, answering
incoming phone calls and handling patient questions. Responsible for scheduling appointments and/or sending messages to providers to guarantee patient satisfaction by following appropriate protocols, verifying demographics/insurance and proper input of appointments into Ochsner's Appointment Scheduling System.

A. Education, Experience & Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of computers is essential and excellent communication skills are required.
