Responsible for all aspects of data entry from the Clinic software billing system for Technical and Facility Charges into the SVI hospital billing system. This includes patient demographics, insurance information, diagnosis and CPT charges the clinical staff selected for this patient. This position may include other duties as assigned such as answering the phone and assistance to other individuals in the business office.

Able to accurately transfer recorded data from one software (Clinic) to another (Hospital) without error.
Exhibits ability to identify errors that could have occurred by others in the Clinic Software to bring to Manager’s attention for resolution and prevent further error in the Hospital software.

High School diploma or general education degree
Preferably 1 year or more experience in medical data entry, and general familiarity with medical insurance, CPT and diagnosis codes.
This job requires sitting for prolonged periods of time at a computer, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, and finger dexterity. Must have close visual acuity to perform daily activities.
Must possess: demonstrated skills in computer operations, attention to detail, good communication skills, reasoning skills to identify potential problems and report to Manager.
