Our services are provided at customer sites and company sites throughout the United States as well as Southeast and Southwest Asia and we help our clients acquire new weapon systems and information technology capabilities to improve and sustain our nation’s defense.
Job Description:
Performs duties relating to assisting the FLCJ Facilities Manager coordinate special facility projects as required to upgrade and/or maintain FLCJ controlled spaces and assist in planning the facilities projects and in the preparation of documentation for repair and minor construction including alterations, installation and maintenance. The position assists the FLCJ Facilities Manager coordinate all contractors performing work in FLCJ areas including ensuring contractor work does not cause work interruptions in FISCJ spaces and resolving any problems related to the work.
Monitors contracts that support the grounds maintenance, elevator service, janitorial and refuse service to ensure that FLCJ is adequately covered. Maintains records to track OPTAR funds and other funding requirements and balances in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Assists the FLCJ Facilities Manager in obtaining data for facilities-related reports such as the Annual Inspection Summary (AIS), Base Readiness Report (BASEREP), Shore Facilities Life Extension Program (SHOREFLEP) and Environmental Compliance Evaluation (ECE). Provides data to personnel for the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Committee. Serves as the Energy conservation coordinator for FLCJ areas. Ensures compliance with identified needs and current directives and consideration of the Energy Conservation Investment Program and may serve as the FLCJ representative at energy meetings when the FLCJ Facilities Manager is unavailable.
Assist the FLCJ Security Manager as required to include reviewing all applications for base passes from contractors for correctness and coordinates pass and decal requirements for assigned personnel. Investigates all security violations to determine cause and submits reports along with recommendations for corrective action.
Coordinates transportation requirements such as scheduling and tracking routine maintenance for vehicles and equipment assigned to FLCJ, maintains and issue keys and ensures vehicles are cleaned and fueled as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of and the ability to analyze a maintenance problem or construction need and develop a solution.
Knowledge of and the ability to present solution in a format that adequately describes the required work to be accomplished by the contractor of Public Works Center.
Ability to develop maintenance concepts, forecasting usages, and establishing repair and replacement factors.
Ability to prepare budgets based on plans for maintenance, repair work, new construction, alterations, equipment replacement or increase in services.
Establish metrics required to ensure that all work is performed satisfactorily. Ability to monitor contractor performance to ensure that it meets established metrics.
Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and instructions along with a general knowledge of safety engineering practices. A working knowledge of Navy physical security regulations and policy.
Incumbent may be required to travel within the region to other sites under the cognizance of FISCJ.
