Assist the Dean and Sr. Associate Directors in the development and implementation of comprehensive recruitment and outreach programs. Provide high quality service in all interactions with counselors, applicants and parents of prospective students. Interface with all levels of college administration and university officials while participating in a variety of recruitment programs. Visit high schools and community colleges including day/night programs to interview prospective students. Present to individuals and audiences ranging in size from 1 to 1,000 or more. Provide admissions counseling to prospective students and their families.
One year of customer service experience.
Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to relate well to diverse constituencies.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills as well as a proficiency in computer technology.
Knowledge of operations and dynamics of areas impacting the recruitment and retention of undergraduate students.
Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently and 20 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours.
A valid driver's license.
Master's degree in Education or Counseling.
University admissions, student services, or event planning/management experience.
This position involves travel as well as evening and weekend work.
A background check will be required for employment in this position.
Motor Vehicle Records check will be required for employment in this position.
