We're looking for an engineer to help us maintain our uptime record as we continue to acquire new customers and scale out our systems.
As an aspiring ops expert, not only will you be responsible for keeping our systems up and running, you'll also have the ability to shape the operations management product all your buddies are using. Help us build the perfect ops management system.
You've been working as a Systems Administrator, Network Engineer or Software Developer for a year or two and you're looking to move up. You want to specialize in SaaS operations at an organization where Operations is key component of success - not just a cost center. Responsibilities Learn and implement new technologies or build them yourself in order to help us achieve unparalleled reliability. Identify potential scaling issues in our infrastructure and help define how to monitor and fix them. Requirements You are passionate about solving problems. You have a record of consistently learning new technologies and implementing them effectively. You have opinions about how to engineer solutions and you're not afraid to share them in a team environment. You've got experience solving engineering problems. Now you want to dive deep and solve real structural, fundamental operations issues. Like the name implies, you know that great DevOps engineers are just as at home writing code as they are provisioning hardware. You subscribe to the theory that operations engineering is about writing software to manage machines, and the thought of ssh'ing directly to a machine to adjust a conf file strikes you as… distasteful.
