Bluebeam Software Inc a software company based in Pasadena CA has an immediate need for a software engineer with 7 years experience We make applications that provide the bestinclass tools for working with PDF files The applications we develop place a heavy emphasis on user interface and interactive graphical functionality built for the exacting needs of the architecture engineering and construction fields We are looking to expand the platforms our technology runs on to MacOS based systems including the iPhone OS Your responsibility would be to help formulate the Bluebeam technology presence on the Mac platforms well as the migration and integration of current MS based applications onto the Mac platform If you are excited by the opportunity to have a direct effect on commercial shipping products that provide bestinclass functionality while having a significant impact on some of the largest design and engineering projects then Bluebeam may be the place for you You will be responsible for the design development and testing of new software products as well as supporting existing released products Our environment is fastpaced having product delivery cycles measured in months rather than years You will not be given a 300 page specification and told to implement this Instead you will be given a general task and it is up to you to design validate implement and test If something you worked on doesnt work its your responsibility to find the solution You will be working closely with other members of the development staff to extend the core functionality designed and implemented over the past 8 years to power new products and take existing products to the next level The company environment is fastmoving and intense but buffered by a fun friendly and informal atmosphere typical of a young innovative technology firm We have no bureaucracy all doors are open The work environment is highly collaborative sales finance marketing engineering and customer service work together to achieve the companys goals Team members enjoy the satisfaction of having direct immediate impact on success and growth Requirements Bachelors degree or higher Computer Science or equivalent field At least 7 years of software development experience 5 year of experience with OS X frameworks Must have experience developing enduser SW for OSX using Cocoa Proven MacOS Development experience in ObjectiveC or similar language Familiarity with xCode Experience using OO methodologies in designing software solutions Strong ability to analyze vague problem descriptions and formulate effective solutions Sharp critical thinking skills including systems and business analysis problem analysis and resolution and sound judgmentdecision making ability Proven ability to work in a rapid release product environment Demonstrated trait of being a selfstarter Able to build trust within the development team by developing dependable good code Know how to interact in a professional environment Be able to contribute to technical discussions without being overbearing Be able to see shades of grey instead of black or white when presented with an issue Good communication skills and willingness to work with a large crossfunctional team on a daily basis Ability to work in the US without sponsorship The following experience is a plus but not required iPhone experience Familiarity with eclipse Java programming experience Windows NET programming experience C++ experience Experience with agile programming and testdriven development Printing technology including Windows system printers Postscript and PDF If you think you are a good match for the Bluebeam team please send the following to workengbluebeamcom Resume A detailed description of 2 software development projects in which you were involved Describe your contribution to the project as well as your role on the project Provide in your own words what you see as the difference between a coderprogrammer and a software engineer (Bluebeam is currently seeking software engineers) Learn more about the Bluebeam team by watching this video httpwwwbluebeamcomworkatbluebeam httpwwwbluebeamcomworkatbluebeam
