Job Summary: Prepares journal vouchers relating to Loma Linda University Health Care. Reconciles Patient Refunds, Lockbox, and Suspense bank accounts to the general ledger cash account and prepares the necessary journal vouchers. Process the Medical Group Insurance Services monthly report and submit to Accounts Payable Department for payment. Prepares the Daily Cash Receipts book. Transfer electronic funds for Lockbox through bank interface. Prepare daily bank deposit and provide deposit slips to clinics. Review LLUHC expense reports. Perform other duties as needed. Job Specifications: High school graduate or GED required. BS or BA in accounting preferred. One year of experience required (or new grad BS/BA in Accounting); familiarity with health care practices a plus. Familiarity with computer spreadsheet and word processing programs, 10-key adding machine, ability to reconcile bank accounts, and problem solving skills. Ability to work under deadline and other pressure. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to concentrate on several tasks simultaneously and perform accurately. Ability to perform tedious tasks. Must be able to work without close supervision. Must be able to see, hear, and communicate effectively to perform the essential duties of the position. May be asked to travel to off-site storage facility for archiving files.
