We specialize in providing audit, accounting, data management and consulting services to government sponsored health care programs (primarily state Medicaid agencies, and the Federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services). The Controller/CFO is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for our $90 million business unit while managing the internal accounting team. This position works closely with the company president and partner group in defining long term financial goals, strategies and business plans to ensure solid fiscal success.

Essential Functions:
  • Plan, develop, organize, direct and assess the financial performance of the company
  • Manage the internal accounting department striving for efficiencies and comprehensive communication and service
  • Prepare essential reports on the financial status of the company keeping leadership apprised
  • Evaluate and advise leadership of the impact of long-range planning introducing new strategies when beneficial
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, reports and trends relevant to the industry
  • Direct all preparation of reports
  • Provide technical advice as matters and opportunities arise relative to growth
  • Serve as an advisor on contracts
  • Adhere to ethics and employee code of conduct and educate staff of same
  • Evaluate the workforce planning for continual success
  • Monitor all activities for evidence of fraud
  • Responsible for compliance relative to control processes
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field required; Master’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field preferred
  • 10 years of experience in finance or relevant field required with 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to record, report and communicate all financial transactions
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Great Plains and Oracle software required
  • Ability to meet deadlines; multi-task; and prioritization
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing through all levels of the organization
  • Strong level of independent judgment
  • Ability to make decisions involving moderate risk
  • Ability to travel as required by job
