The role of the Journeyman Reefer Mechanic will be to diagnose and repair electrical refrigeration system. Works in the unique work and physical environment of Dutch Harbor, Alaska with minimal supervision.

Accountabilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair failures on electrical components, motors and wirings with very minimum technical supervision.
Ability to diagnose all mechanical failures in the refrigeration system and perform proper repair in a timely manner.
Must be responsible and reliable with good work ethic
May be required to work extended hours
Preferred knowledge on refrigerated containers, ie: Carrier Daikin
Ability to perform outdoor task in inclement weather
Must have a TWIC card
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
EPA certificate is required to handle various type of refrigerant
3-5 years experience on electrical and mechanical aspect of refrigeration system.
Must own all hand tools and electrical tools to perform this job.
