Process patient record documentation imaged in the electronic medical record through the indexing and quality assurance process. Reports to As Assigned Education, Experience and Skills Requirements Associate's degree in a healthcare or computer related field or equivalent experience is required. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, medical record documentation, and computer systems/hardware. Must be able to work well with detail with a high degree of accuracy. Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent keyboard/data entry skills required. Must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure and deadlines. Licensure/Certification Requirement None Job Specific Competencies
Correctly identifies barcode/location.
Ensures scanned documents are indexed in correct document type/order.
Performs quality assurance for the indexed/scanned documents.
Reviews scanned imaged documents to ensure accuracy and conformance to accepted standards and quality.
Revises documents as needed as part of the quality control process.
