Associate Athletic Director † for Finance and Operations. This position will report to the Director of Athletics and will interact closely with the University Business Office. This position is a key member of the Athletics Leadership Team and will supervise the Athletics Business Office, the Equipment Room, Facilities, Events Operations, Club Sports and selected sports program(s). Lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring, analysis, and overall direction of the operational budget for the Department of Athletics; ensure budgetary compliance with Stetson University and regulatory compliance with the Atlantic Sun Conference and the NCAA: oversee the operations of the Athletics Business Office and serve as the liaison for the various departments within the Administration and Finance Division and other departments of the University; develop, implement, and assess the strategic plan for the Athletics business office to be in alignment with the strategic priorities of Stetson University; monitor the University Gender Equity plan, and provide leadership and advocacy for issues related to Title IX, attend Atlantic Sun Conference meetings/championships; attend athletic department events and assist in fundraising efforts by identifying and cultivating partnership opportunities and donors that can provide financial benefit to the Athletics Department.The responsibilities of the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations shall include:•Supervision of the lacrosse, soccer, tennis, golf, women's basketball, cross-country, and rowing, teams to include the monitoring of departmental and individual goals.•In conjunction with the University Finance Office, complete annual financial reports including NCAA (sport's sponsorship, Grant-in-aid, Gender Equity, financial audits, etc.) as well as federal financial reporting related to Title IX.•Supervision of the facilities, equipment room, event operations, club sports, and business office staff.
Oversight and management of internal operations policies and proceduresWORKING CONDITIONS: Duties require both indoor and outdoor work; direct exposure to prevailing weather, extreme heat, humidity, and extreme cold; physical ability to endure physically strenuous work-outs and physical exercise on a daily basis, including standing and/or walking for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting of up to fifty pounds; ability to work hours outside the normal University schedule; physical ability to travel; perceptual demands for sound, form, depth. Some lifting is required.
