Responsibilities:

General oversight, management and maintenance of the RCN New York telecommunications, Warehouse, and office facilities.

Management of small staff of in-house technicians.

Aggressively manage outside vendors and contractors to achieve high levels of service and improved client satisfaction while minimizing total costs.

Ensure all facilities meet local fire, building, and electrical codes.

Establish and maintaining positive working relationships with all landlords, subtenants, and government officials.

Review and process all payments for all facilities-related expenditures. Ensuring they are within budget and paid within terms and timeframes agreed upon with vendors.

Create and adhere to departmental budget, including expense and capital spending.

Maintain all facilities related equipment including but not limited to HVAC, generators, UPS, , ATS, etc.

Update space plan, manage office space and move requests. Provide updated information on occupancy levels of facilities.

Monitor and maintain security systems and process for corporate facility.

Provide data for business planning development, business contingency planning, disaster recovery, etc.

Other projects and duties as assigned, including capital project management.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Accounting, Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or similar field of study preferred, or equivalent experience in Facilities Management.

Facility Management in Corporate, FacilitiesManagement Firm, or Public Sector.

CFM/CPM Accreditation a plus.

Telecommunications industry or data center experience a plus.

Expertise with standard computer applications, especially spreadsheets, CAD, internet research, etc.

Knowledge of construction codes, zoning, legal issues in regard to leasing, etc.

Effective written, presentation and oral communications skills and fluency in English are required.

5-10 years experience.

Ability to solve problems as a member of a team.

Ability to critically examine data and information in a rapid paced, dynamic, working
environment.

Ability to anticipate problems and develop action plans to resolve
or eliminate problems.
