We are looking for a Sales Development Manager who would be responsible for building and maintaining partner, dealer and distribution strategic relationships that consistently maximize revenues, margins and market share. Responsible for creating market demand primarily for EFI controllers as well as other product offerings.
Drive OEM product sales through awareness building, training and key account demonstration and sales activity support
Develop and execute Account Plans and budgets.
Execute EFI sales, marketing and support strategies to overachieve revenue and product goals
Establish and maintain strategic and tactical relationship at all levels of partner and OEM dealer organizations.
Provide local market competencies, by understanding partner pricing, strategies, local attach rates, compensation and strategies
Establish and maintain High-Impact contacts and relationships in the territory. Conduct QBR’s with local VP/Directors, Strategic/Major Account Managers, Manager of Services, also key vetical teams (Managed Services, Healthcare, Education and Production teams)
Engage in High-Impact actitivites as defined by sales management
Utilize EFI’s CRM (salesforce.com) to effectively manage the terriotry by maintianing contacts, logging of sales actitivites, logging and tracking of sales opportunites and tracking win/loss
Establish relationships with Strategic Account teams to get involved in large fleet opportunties
Understand the business in your territory by analyzing sales data and gathering local data and intellegence.
Work with local end-customers in the territory, including EFI EPS or Ink Jet customers, to ensure that all customers/prospects understand the EFI value proposition and integration story
Establish presence in local markets. Maintain good showroom presence, local tradeshow placement, product launch events, open houses and trainings
Understand competitive products and positioning and create EFI strategies to maximize market share.
Conduct regular sales training to the key sales teams to position and sell EFI products
Provide regular feedback to corporate marketing, engineering and manufacturing regarding EFI products
Direct involvement sales cycles of strategic products, integration and complicated sales cycles with our partners.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the product, industry and competitive posture of the company as recognized through competency certification in the following:
All EFI products at level 1: Overview level
All partner specific products at level 2 (Production level)
Any specific assigned EFI products (champion) at level 3 (Expert level)
Teach Partner and Dealer personnel to allow for 1 st level demos to prospective customers (SDM should be able to demo at level 2 for customers).
Liason with EFI sales team to leverage EFI resources and capabilities
Provide timely and accurate territory reporting and forecasting to EFI management
Further develop EFI’s market presence in a creative and entrepreneurial style by positioning EFI as a leader in this marketplace

Understanding of basic network systems: Appletalk/Ethertalk, Novell, Windows NT
Detailed understanding of customer workflows: Pre press and short run color
Extensive knowledge of color management methods and software
Familiarity with alternative print processes: laser, digital press, offset, inkjet, thermal transfer, dye sublimation
Familiarity with traditional print production equipment and workflow, along with the position EFI plays in that industry.
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Demonstrated success in sales
Self starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
At least 5 years of experience in sales or marketing (preferably in the printing industry)
B.A. or B. S. or equivalent
Autonomous, pro-active personality with good communication skills
Good understanding of technology, able to install server and to conduct technical presentations
Knowledge and understanding of the market trends
Skills in indirect sales (dealer/distributor/OEM)
Marketing background but technical understanding
English language skills
Solid interpersonal skills, team oriented
Candidate should be located ideally in Kansas City or St Louis, MO. Relocation is not being offered with this position.
