Signpost is a leading online advertising startup that connects local businesses with new customers. Some people say that we are creating the Google AdSense of local commerce, and to that extent currently power monetization campaigns for over 1,200 local publishers that range from mobile apps to directory services to daily deals sites. We believe we’re creating an efficient advertising tool that will change the $20B local advertising industry as we know it.

Signpost is funded by Google Ventures, Spark Capital (Foursquare, Twitter, Tumblr) and a rockstar group of angel investors including Jason Calacanis (TWIST), Jack Herrick (e-how) and Thomas Lehrman (Gerson Lehrman). Opportunity -
You’ll have responsibility for all aspects of Signpost’s sales operations. This is an opportunity to lead the direction of Signpost’s merchant sales process and to become an innovative thought leader in the local ad sales sector. You will be joining an exciting startup company at an early stage with potential for explosive growth and great financial reward.

Responsibilities

Design and improve Signpost’s operational merchant sales process.
Create sales and marketing workflows and develop the collateral and tools to implement them.
Oversee the management of Signpost’s distributed Scout Sales program.
Contribute to overall product strategy development.

Experience

Experience constructing and managing a high volume, low margin sales process inside a technology based business.
Experience managing to a number and a solid record of hitting performance targets.
Quantitative analysis skills to understand our current state of performance and conduct data-driven decision making.
Positive experience managing a team of sales reps and a sales-driven attitude.
Professional presence, strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in New York City full-time.
