Half of all American’s live in areas where the air is not safe to breathe. This is unacceptable. Fortunately, we can do something about it right now. The EPA will soon be proposing rules that cut down on carbon emissions from power plants. Through these new standards we can protect future generations from unsafe levels of air pollution that contribute to asthma, heart attacks, and other serious health problems every year. The EPA is giving the public a 90-day comment period to respond to these new standards. Big polluters will spend millions of dollars to convince the public that this will raise their rates and cost them jobs. We must be out there to counter this message.

Grassroots Voter Outreach is partnering with national environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club, to hire Field Organizers to win this campaign. Field Organizers will run a volunteer mobilization campaign to build public support for the EPA’s proposed clean air rules and to help overcome opposition from big polluters.
