Client Technology Services (CTS) delivers measurable business value by providing core technology solutions that meet secure business demand while realizing cost efficiencies. CTS teams work with our Line of Business partners to develop standardized, resilient operating environments and implements through global technology strategies for the Firm's infrastructure. As an Operations Management Engineering Lead within the CTS space, the responsibilities include automation and monitoring of server hardware, Operating Systems, and a wide range of applications for the firm's 40,000 Windows servers globally. This role must interface closely with GTI Plan/Build/Operate Team Leads, Application Development/Security/Storage/Networking Leads and Windows technologists outside of CTS. Core responsibilities to include but not be limited to: Development and 4th-level support pertaining to Windows Server Operations Management & automation using SCOM, Orchestrator, and Service Manager. Superb solution documentation across the firm's Development, QA, and Production spaces Contribute to the development and support of general JPMC Windows server host patterns Contribute to the selection of technologies to support JPMC Service offerings Testing, validation and certification of all Windows System management components in compliance with all operational, security and audit requirements Contribute to the assessment of vendor roadmaps and alignment with internal roadmaps Responsible to mentor team members and help develop professionally and technically
Minimum 10+ years of hands on experience on Windows Server Operating Systems engineering, including 4+ years of experience in complex, large-scale distributed environments. Technology experience must also be current required. Minimum 4+ years of hands on experience in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007r2 and Opalis Infrastructure Design Experience in a large global environment required. Minimum of 1+ years of hands on experience in Service Manager. Superior technical proficiency in managing an Operations Manager implementation and troubleshooting all aspects of Operations Manager effectively. Full understanding of product flow encompassing SQL, Opalis (Orchestrator), Service Manager, and Management Pack development and customization. Operations Manager and Opalis (Orchestrator) Disaster Recovery planning and execution required. Experience in AD, Exchange, Lync, SQL, SSRS, IIS, and clustering highly desirable. Solid understanding of IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus and how it interacts with utilized by Operations Manager. Scripting (e.g. VB and Powershell). Experience in Microsoft Management technologies in the System Center products. Ability to deliver patterns and solutions based on industry best practices and architectural requirements. Relationship building experience with industry vendors providing service, app and products in the Microsoft space. Ability to influence a cross functional team to obtain desired results. Ability to initiate new efforts through requirements gathering and drive the engineering teams to completion. Strong Negotiation and influencing and communication skills. Technical writing and documentation skills. MCSE, and other relevant certifications or working experience highly desired. ITIL v3 Framework knowledge highly desired. Past Service Design experience from service oriented company highly desired. Project Management experience highly desired.
