Manage the Foundation’s annual fund programs including direct responsibility for executing the annual fundraising plan and serving as support for other fundraising initiatives. Serve as a liaison to external donors and volunteers. Facilitate the analytic understanding of the Foundation’s diverse annual and endowment fundraising campaigns, including managing the fundraising database.
Execute and implement the strategic fundraising plan to ensure attainment of the $500,000 annual fund goal.
Manage the calendar of annual fund appeals including the Making A Difference Society, Dues Opt Out, NetWork Challenge, Private Practice, Honoraria, Honor and Memorial, and endowment fund.
Implement donor acknowledgment programs including compilation and distribution of the annual report and donor newsletters
Assist in executing special fundraising events including local and regional donor cultivation events
Supervise the recognition activities and special donor activities at leadership meetings including the annual CHEST meeting
Foster the cultivation and solicitation of individual donors including incorporating a moves strategy, face to face meetings, phone solicitations, and mail campaign.
Communicate with donors in a timely manner in the preparation of acknowledgment letters and receipts
Provide assistance and support to the Development Committee including distribution of agendas and key analytic material
Remain current on innovative fundraising techniques
Assist in the fundraising database conversion from Raiser’s Edge to Avectra
Facilitate/execute special projects as they occur.
Required Position Qualifications
Ability to accommodate occasional travel5+ years in a fundraising capacity with increasing responsibility and a proven track record of success
Expertise in use of fundraising software
An undergraduate degree in a discipline that complements the skills and professional expertise utilized in an active fundraising environment
Experience working with donors and board members
Outstanding verbal and written skills
Mature and responsible with an ability to achieve annual goals by working independently and by multi-tasking
Demonstrated ability to cooperate and work collaboratively in teams across the organization
Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Social Media
Ability to accommodate occasional travel
