The job of the Broadcast Customer Development Specialist is to make sales calls to our dealers, customers, and retailers in regards to our company's products. The ideal candidate will be an aggressive, energetic individual who is able to quickly learn about the features and benefits of our Broadcast Division's products. The candidate should be able to professionally answer emails and phone calls from end customers, dealers, and other miscellaneous callers in regards to determining which product(s) is right for them, quoting prices for items, selling and up-selling our company's products over the phone and in person (at trade shows, various related events) and satisfying inquiries and requests about marketing materials, samples, and custom product(s). The candidate will participate in developing new products and presenting company products at trade shows and dealer events, and should be able to professionally manage confidential and time-sensitive information.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
f ollowing up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
i dentifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned
establishing, maintaining and building client relationships/accounts through routine quality checks, proper database management and other follow-up methods
identifying and resolving client concerns/complaints
communicate orders between sales and customer service
provide reports on Broadcast accounts as needed
participate in planning/development/coordination of trade-show presentations, advertising promotions, special offers, new model instructions, etc.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
2 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, and/or account management
Microsoft Office skills, specifically MS Word and Excel
demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
demonstrate strong organizational and presentation skills
ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
maintaining a strong repertoire of product knowledge
experience in providing product support
ability to work well individually as well as with teammates
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
experience working in the broadcast electronics/media, IP Video industries or related industries
Associates Degree or higher
