. The successful candidate will be a self motivated, team oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where they can contribute in a variety of ways. The candidate must embrace the entrepreneurial culture of CFD, and will use that spirit to create solutions for current and new customers within the region.
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with strategic level accounts: pricing, supply, special requirements, credit; leading identification of solutions with those accounts: product based (in coordination with Business Development & Technology/Operations when applicable) and service based; facilitating value creation (project execution) and value capture (negotiation) of solutions in a cross functional/cross company setting; developing account plans and monitoring progress. This position will also play a major role in the procurement of key categories (Poultry & Seafood) for the business, forming and maintaining vendor relationships, sourcing products, and building a supply chain to the customer.
- Account managing duties such as; order management, value creation for customers, and negotiating & market feedback. This includes prospecting for new accounts and growing a book of business through a mix of inside sales activities and face to face customer meetings.
- Procurement duties such as; order entry, product & market knowledge, negotiation skills, and pricing of product.
- Administrative duties such as Roadnet tracking, credit issues management, sales reports, and day end close responsibilities.
- Preparing sales projections, daily sales planning, and inventory management.
Other project management duties as required.
3 years sales, merchandising, and/or buying experience
1 year experience working with Poultry, Beef, and/or Pork products/markets (poultry experience highly preferred)
Demonstrated negotiation skills and strong organizational skills
Demonstrated leadership, communication (both verbal & written) & customer presence within key/strategic account management role
Must be an effective team player
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Word
SAP system experience
Sales experience for a Cargill Meat Solutions Business Unit
XLGO system experience
Established Book of Business
Poultry & Seafood vendor relations
