The Warehouse Supervisor/Dockmaster, under the general supervision of the Program Manager, will assist the Dockmaster Office in managing logistical support which includes delivery of foods, newspapers, perishable items and packages using an automated tracking system and government supplied personal digital assistants (PDAs) for tracking materials deliveries within the Pentagon Reservation. Provide loading and offloading support for inbound and outbound freight cargo shipments destined for or originating from, the Pentagon Reservation. Shipments shall be visually inspected for any damage and the damage reported to the Dockmaster Office. Personnel shall transport cargo from delivery trucks, de-palletize (if necessary) to the X-Ray screening area, offloading cargo onto the X-Ray screening conveyor, re-palletizing (as required) and repacking materials for shipping to Pentagon customers. Cargo includes but is not limited to parcels, packages, produce, dry & refrigerated foods, and wholesale items received to restock DODCC retail vendors at the Pentagon Reservation. Comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and requirements to include wearing safety shoes as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receipt and Screening of All Items Entering the RDF. Assist in the offloading of vendor vehicles, un-palletizing pallets loads when necessary (generally because the pallet will not fit in the screening X-ray machine), and re-palletizing for delivery.
Receipt, Screening and Delivery of Food. All food is received by the Dockmaster Office, screened by PFPA with Dockmaster Office support and delivered by the Dockmaster Office.
Receipt, Screening and Delivery of Packages, Supplies and Material. All packages, supplies and material enter the building through the RDF.
Pickup and Packaging of Excess Material for Shipment. Dockmaster Office picks up abandoned furniture, packing material, construction material, pallets, etc. for disposal as trash or to be processed for turn-in as excess government property.
Support to Special Events. Provides labor to PBMO to support the set-up and breakdown of special events sites.
Response to Customer Requests. Will receive customer requests for services that must be responded to within 45 minutes of notification during normal working hours or at the time that has been scheduled with the customer.
Receipt, Screening and Delivery of Courier Packages and Other Small Packages (Small packages defined as packages weighing less than 40 pounds). Packages delivered to the Pentagon by UPS and FedEx as well as most small packages go through an additional screening by PFPA, supported by Dockmaster Office.
Be cooperative, committed to customer satisfaction and have a businesslike concern for the interest of the customer.
Pick-up and delivers all materials in a professional and courteous manner without disruption to building or customer operations.
Operate special purpose vehicles (SPVs), forklifts, riding pallet jacks, powered walk behind pallet jacks and hand operated and manually powered pallet jacks.
Inspect SPVs, Pallet Jacks and other government provided equipment to insure it is in safe operating condition prior to each use. Discrepancies will be reported to the Dockmaster.

Qualifications- Experience, Education and Certifications (Relevant experience may be substituted for any of the following– other qualifications may be considered as equivalents, at the discretion of the hiring authority)
Minimum five (5) years’ relevant work experience.
Minimum of (2) years’ supervisory experience in related capacity.
Proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.
Must have or be able to attain a DOD security clearance.
Must have or be able to attain a clearance from the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC).
Experience with Government contracting a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in high production environment (50+ hours/week, including nights and weekends are expected) and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
Ability to make independent judgments to manage and facilitate company programs/policies as they relate to the safety of our work.
Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate the work requirements with and various staff and subcontractors.
Ability to prioritize, organize and work well under stress and maintain deadlines.

Most work will be performed in environmentally controlled warehouse areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety shoes may be required to be worn.

Present at the work site at all times when contract work is in progress and have the authority to sign inspection reports and all other correspondence.
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
