This position is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the customer service counter, the maintenance of the bookstore's social media websites, the fulfillment of all merchandise web orders ( including: the Insite web site, .com and others to be determined), the assistance in maintaining the bookstore's merchandise web site, including creating and maintaining the proper skus, descriptions and the taking of photos of the merchandise as assigned. This position will also assist in the maintenance of the trade book department and assisting the manager in placing trade orders and their return to the publishers. At the start of each semester, this position will assist with textbook reservations along with the processing and shipping of textbook web orders. At the start of each semester this position will be responsible for staffing the book returns table located in the St. Paul Bookstore's atrium. This position is the first person that the general public has an interaction with and must present the image of the bookstore in a very positive and professional manner. This position will be responsible for following and enforcing UST Bookstore policies on a daily basis. The individual holding this position must be very flexible in their daily duties and must be able to multi-task their assigned duties. This position will be a Monday - Friday position with occasional week-ends required. This position will also assist with the end of semester book buyback in December and May.
This is a benefits eligible position. However, there will be a three year waiting period for tuition remission.
Qualifications: High school diploma
Required Skills: Strong computer proficiency, social media experience with Facebook, digital photography experience, website administration experience, and retail customer service experience.
Strongly Preferred Skills: Previous trade book experience.
