Children and Family Services serve approximately 3,000 children each year in the areas of pre-school education (Head Start), behavioral health, and early intervention. All of our services are community-based. Our mission is to support the growth, development, success, and security of children and their families through individualized services and collaborative strategies.
The Teacher is responsible for delivering high quality, developmentally appropriate, educational programming for children in a classroom setting. Responsibilities of this position include; home visits, parent conferences, ensuring child safety and individualized services based on skills, interests, and needs of each child and establishing partnerships with families and community agencies to effectively meet the needs of the child and family.
This position is a school year , full time position. Additional time is provided for staff development and planning!
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The preschool teacher position requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education; or Bachelor's or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool children; or AA in Early Childhood Education; or AA in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching preschool-age children.
Proficient with basic computer skills and web based systems. All employees are expected to obtain Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances. Must have a valid driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation. Must have functioning personal telephone.
