Manage the event supervisor team operations, ensuring that event services meet corporate and client expectations, are within property budgets and deadlines are met.

Oversee and balance team workload and service events as needed.

Oversee purchasing of services and linen; negotiating; invoicing; vendor logistics and vendor relations.

Approve Purchase Requests for your department and monitor costs by event; ensure that paperwork is accurate.

Train event staff in process and paperwork and regularly evaluate processes for efficiency.

Ensure project status, timelines and delivery information is communicated out in a timely manner.

Cultivate a collaborative environment to build cohesive teams and resolve issues.

Interview, pre-screen, make hiring recommendations and evaluate and counsel employees.

Stay current with vendor products and new technologies.

Be well versed on the Event Image site (AIM) and fluent in MRE inventory.

Be active as an MRE ambassador for the company and within our industry.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
At least 5 - 7 years experience coordinating event services in the special event industry.

At least 3 years supervisory or management experience.

Advanced experience in negotiating with vendors to keep within budget.

Intermediate understanding of financial reports.

Proficient in managing multiple event services requests under tight deadlines while interacting with various departments.

Experience with interviewing, training, and problem solving.

Excellent communication, mentoring, motivation and teaching skills.

Must be detail oriented and organized.

Excellent customer services skills.

Ability to lead and mentor a team.

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.

Working knowledge of Daylight software or similar data management systems and Meeting Matrix software.

Able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms

Preferred:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
