B. KEY RESULT AREAS: Responsible for maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet custom specifications and achieve Company quality and reliability levels and the constant monitoring of production procedures/methods/standards and overall finished product quality. In the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties. In the absence of the Quality Associate III, the Manager Quality Assurance I will assume necessary operational and administrative responsibilities.
C. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts processing audits per procedures and maintains data.

Provides pertinent information and documentation to production staff.

Maintains the laboratory, calibrates and maintains measurement equipment in the lab and in the
production plant as required.

Conducts analytical tests of finished product and raw materials

Designates substandard product for hold status and assists in rework process.

Maintains retained samples and sample area.

Accurately enters lab data into computer system and maintains database.

Prepares customer samples for shipment

Other duties and projects as assigned.
    D. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Update GMP training and deliver training to employees. • Computer skills using Excel and Word. • New employee orientation/training.
      Food Safety Production Areas
    • Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required. • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas. • Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of BRC, Company, Customer and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company. • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements. • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system. • Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements. In the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties.

    E. SCOPE DATA: Supervise processes plant wide. F. WORKING RELATIONSHIP
        Reports directly to Quality Assurance ManagerI. Works closely with other Quality Assurance employees and production managers and supervisors. Supervises processes of all employees.
    Job Qualifications
    G. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods and examine or manipulate objects high or low reach. Other physical requirements include: climbing, lifting 35 lbs., stooping, twisting, turning, bending, reaching and tolerance to environmental extremes in manufacturing environment.
        Must be able to work independently, with minimum supervision, as well as effectively in a team environment.
    Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

        Detail oriented with good laboratory skills: must be accurate.
    Basic computer skills to include Microsoft office: Word, Excel, JDE Production Program

    Positive attitude, team player

    Ability to differentiate taste in food products manufactured.

    Must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures ­

    H. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
        Education: Associate degree in Biology or related discipline preferred High School Diploma or GED required. Experience (Years/Type): 2 – 4 years of food manufacturing experience.
