The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Department of Emergency Medicine (GW-MFA) has collaborated with the Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences (PSMCHS) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to establish the first Physician Assistant Program in the Middle East. The GW-MFA is proud to announce the start of the third cohort in Fall 2012.
We are currently accepting applications for full-time faculty. A successful candidate will have formal experience as a physician assistant educator with proven academic abilities and a dedication to the global development of the physician assistant profession. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal, curriculum development, and teaching skills, and be able to acclimate well to a unique and challenging environment.
This is a full time position that requires re-location to Saudi Arabia for a minimum of one year. For faculty who wish maintain their academic positions within their own institutions, GW-MFA has developed fully-funded, one year sabbatical opportunities to allow senior physician assistant faculty to assume key roles as international educators. This position presents a unique opportunity for faculty to augment their academic careers and advance the recognition of their institution in international physician assistant education.
Current NCCPA certification
Masters degree required, doctorate preferred
A minimum of three years clinical experience
A minimum of two years of experience as administrative faculty with an ARC-PA accredited PA program
