The SOA Architect is responsible for the overall design and development of our enterprise service oriented architecture (SOA). This position will help develop Best Practices for development and deployment of web services using Oracle SOA Suite 11g across the enterprise. This position will serve as an architectural leader in mentoring IT developers from all lines of business. This architect will be “hands on” and must also be able to assist in developing enterprise services.

• Configure Fusion Middleware
• Review and approve integration components implemented with Fusion
• Develop Integration Concepts related to Fusion Integration approach and bring to ARB (Architecture Review Board) for review and approval
• Attend and contribute to any conceptual design of integration concepts and framework elements that are being implemented or integrated through Fusion Middleware
• Review and approve integration interfaces design and code developed under or integrated with Fusion Middleware
• Lead the integration development process implemented with Fusion Middleware
• Troubleshoot issues within the Oracle Fusion Middleware environment
• Implement Web Services (SOAP and RESTful) using Oracle SOA Suite 11g
• Build, configure and deploy services on containers such as Weblogic
• Develop service composite objects using Business Process Execution Language (BPEL)
• Ensure adherence to the SOA Governance Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for setting up/defining the Integration Framework Development Standards, Policies and Concepts for Fusion Middleware
• Assists other developers in architecture and problem solving
• Creates detailed technical documentation for existing and newly developed solutions
• Develop Integration Architecture for Fusion Integration
• Performs code reviews and design sessions with team members
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Math), or related field or equivalent experience required
• Any ESB/SOA certification or training courses preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Service Bus (Tibco, IBM, Oracle)
• Must have led design, development and deployment of services of medium to large complexity using Oracle Fusion Middleware tools (SOA, WebLogic) with at least 3 years experience
• Broad exposure to enterprise service bus products and SOA Governance tools is required
• Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, J2EE , XML and web services
• Technical expertise in application systems analysis, design and development techniques and tools, including software package implementation and data base concepts
• Experience with Web Service Security specifications, WS-Security, WS-Policy, SAML, etc.
• Advanced and hands on experience with Oracle Weblogic and in usage of the products within Fusion Middleware suite, including SOA Suite Technologies
• Project Management experience including leading small teams in successful systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design
• Strong understanding and wide experience developing SOAP and XML calls under Fusion
• Experience in combining architecture of Fusion and other Data Management Environments such as Informatica, Data Stage WMB etc.
• Experience in working with Oracle RIB during implementation of RMS
• Experience in understanding the gateway methods for Oracle RMS (Adaptors, OMG etc.)
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Mediation, Policy Enforcement and other ESB functions
• Deep knowledge of SOA principles, design patterns, application and integration architectures
• Experience with industry standard or internal canonical models
• Experience with LINUX and an IDE such as Eclipse or JDeveloper
• Practical application debugging and troubleshooting skills and monitoring of Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Exposure to reporting using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) is desired
• Integration experience with any Enterprise Service Bus (such as TIBCO, IBM, Oracle)
• Integration experience with Messaging, UDDI, Service Registry and Service Repository
• Experience with SoapUI or similar web service testing tool
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
