This position is located at our Moss Point, Mississippi facility. As a member of the Production team in Moss Point a lead Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to oversee Manufacturing Engineering and Technology personnel, including product and processes. Develop and analyze strategies to improve product quality and production efficiency. Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop and demonstrate solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. The Candidate must be able to effectively communicate verbally, in writing and present to internal executive leadership and the customer on behalf of the Manufacturing Engineering and Technology organization.
The candidate must continuously apply a very high degree of knowledge in all tasks assigned. When issues surface on products or processes, recommendations are requested and provided, with an emphasis on understanding the core issue, and providing a recommended path forward to solve with a cost efficient approach, while meeting schedule requirements. Once given an assignment by management or candidates own initiative, very little oversight on a path forward is required. Controls tasks and sees them through completion using the others within the IPT to complete. Takes the Latitude to make decisions that are Technically correct and takes into account Technology, Cost and Schedule.
BS degree or equivalent and 14 years related experience. The candidate is required to have a vast knowledge of the Production Engineering skills and processes. This includes Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Process Engineering, Tooling and Automation, Methods and Systems.
