Position Summary:
While reporting directly to the VP/GM, the QA Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining ISO, ASME and other Quality Assurance policies associated with the manufacture of sub-components as sold into the Energy Market sector with emphasis on Nuclear and Fossil Fuel. In this role you will manage programs, procedures and training and perform internal and supply quality audits to ensure compliance with commercial and federal specifications and codes and all special customer requirements and to ensure the highest level of quality consistent with established standards. The QA Manager will also develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine feasibility related to the proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product and will writes new standards as required. You will be responsible for formulating and maintaining quality control objectives and coordinating objectives with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. The QA Manager is responsible for directing workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products; planning, promoting, and organizing training activities related to product quality and reliability; and investigating and managing both customer and internal quality complaints utilizing root cause analysis techniques fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Skills/Competencies: Working knowledge of ASME Section III, B31.1, B31.3, B31.7 and NQA-1 requirements or have the aptitude and desire to quickly assimilate such knowledge. Working knowledge of NRC 10CFR Parts 21 & 50, Reg. Guides 1/124 and 1.130 or have the aptitude and desire to quickly assimilate such knowledge. Experience working in a custom fabrication environment with a large multi million dollar business is an added benefit. Experience with a cross matrixed team environment. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required with a minimum of five years experience in Quality related field. International experience helpful. Lean, six sigma experience highly desirable. Development of internal quality systems and an “intranet” is also considered highly desirable. Proficient in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications. Positive high energy attitude. Organized project management and communication skills.
