Creative Marketing Copywriter will work independently and as part of the creative copy team to generate original concepts and content, strategies and plans to promote Bluegreen products, services and other strategic initiatives to promote the Bluegreen brand. This person will be a part of creative brainstorm meetings to develop new campaigns and marketing strategies, and write and edit all supporting content. They will concept original story ideas for ColorfulPlaces.com, Owner Update, BV magazine and more while working with the editorial team to refine, research and review these concepts. The copywriter will be an in-house resource for questions or issues regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage, themes, and writing style. As an expert in the English language, he/she will make decisions on all such issues and as part of the content/editorial team, and will also play an integral role in making decisions on Bluegreen's editorial and branding guidelines.
Generating new concepts, strategies and campaigns for Bluegreen products and services; writing of direct marketing pieces, magazine editorial, web content, public relations communications, email and landing page copy, video scripts, print ad headlines and body copy. The copywriter will also work independently to edit and proofread marketing and editorial content to the company's editorial standards and guidelines.They will be responsible for delivering the highest quality writing that adheres to Bluegreen editorial standards, with minimal supervision. Contributes to brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings on a weekly basis as directed by supervisor. Will also assist in management and maintenance of content management systems for multiple Bluegreen Web assets as needed.
- Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
- 2-5 years' experience
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications with some experience with SEO content writing.
- Basic keyword research knowledge a plus, specifically the Google Keyword Tool. Other online proficiencies include Social Media platforms, Social Sharing/Bookmarking sites, etc.
- Copywriting experience to include: direct marketing/advertising web content, web marketing (email, landing pages), proofreading, editorial for magazine or similar type publication; the person should be flexible, patient, diligent and have good time management skills, communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse creative personalities.
