Under direction of Materials Management Director and Sterile Processing Supervisor, receives, processes, maintains and distributes sterilized goods and cleaned equipment for all clinical areas. Works independently with minimal supervision and follows established routines.
Cleans and disinfects instruments following standardized procedures. Prepare, assemble and sterilize surgical instrumentations. Maintains required records.
Completed certification course through an accredited Central Service org. within 15 months of hire.
Knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform this job are usually obtained through experience in Sterile Processing for at least 1 year.
Works independently and performs other tasks as needed. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Oral and written communication. Ability to work with varying schedules and work load.
