EXAMINES ROUTINE APPLICANTS FOR DRIVERS LICENSE BY MEANS OF WRITTEN, PERFORMANCE AND VISION TESTS FOR CLASS D AND M LICENSES. RECEIVES ROUTINE APPLICANTS AND PERFORMS BASIC REVIEW OF DOCUMENTS. PROVIDES INFORMATION TO CERTIFIED EXAMINERS WHO HANDLE COMPLEX CASES. |

Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.
AUXILIARY LAW ENFORCEMENT
Characteristics of the Class :
Performs beginning level duties in the administration of written motor vehicle driver's license examinations for Class D and M licenses; and performs other duties as required.
Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Work is performed in an office setting. Must be able to lift portable scanning equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds.
Additional Requirements :
Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
