The Industrial Design Intern will assist in the development of the industrial design of new concepts and products for all brands providing hands-on help to the team in the various stages. The ID intern will be responsible of a variety of activities and tasks from product development to coordination in support of the ID department and team.
This position is full-time, working 40 hours per week for at least 3 months.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Projects may include but are not limited to:
Research the market and create inspiration boards.
Sketching ideas, concepts and illustrations.
Draft simple 3D surfaces.
Develop preIDspecs and ID graphics and specs.
Prepare and coordinate sales samples.
Ability to prioritize scheduled tasks.
Strong analytical skill and attention to detail.
Hand and computer sketching abilities.
Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SolidWorks, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Flexibility, ability to adapt.
Ability to interact with team members and other departments.
Good communication skills.
Currently pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Industrial Design from an accredited school.
Previous internship experience in Industrial Design is preferred.
Current status as a college senior or graduate.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
