GENERAL FUNCTION

Knowledge of and ability to assist membership with all savings and loan services. Assists Operations Officer/Supervisor with all operational duties. Excercises limited lending authority and or signing authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Knowledgable of all necessary Federal Regulations (i.e., Reg CC, Reg E, etc.)

Able to conduct all Teller functions (i.e. transactions, balancing, etc.)

Assists with all branch end of day functions (i.e., balancing travelers checks, money orders, microfilming checks, etc.)

Able to accurately balance and maintain Automatic Teller Machine

Able to handle all payroll requests (initiate request and distribution)

Knowledgable and practices all points of negotiability when accepting such items

Adheres to all Credit Union security policies and procedures

Accurately dispenses money orders, travelers checks, gift checks

Assist with the posting of all incoming checks via mail

Processes VISA cash advances

Assist with all incoming phone calls

Assist with distributing/processing items via the interoffice courier bag

Responsibly maintains assigned keys and combinations

Adheres to all 'dual control' procedures

Able to assist shared branching members with all requests

Able to process all stop payment requests

Serves as a vault custodian, assists in ordering change fund for branch ensuring inventory does not exceed the branch limits

Able to complete all 'end of day' balancing functions

Able to conduct all New Accounts functions (i.e. opening accounts, necessary documentation, etc.)

Primary source of information for membership eligibility requirements. May be called upon to serve as a Membership Officer. Retrieves daily New Accounts Report and assures receipt of all applicable signature cards

Aware of the Department of Motor Vehicles requirements for securing/releasing lienholder interest. May serve as the branches 'title clerk'.

Handles all aspects of consumer and mortgage loan requests, to include but not limited to:

•Application process
•Interview
•Research, evaluation and analysis
•Recommendation for approval or denial
•Preparation of loan documents
•Closing and disbursement
•Collections

Exercises lending authority as approved

Maintains loan files ensuring accuracy and completeness

May be asked to assist with cross-training/mentoring fellow staff members

Responsibly maintains additional keys and or combinations assigned
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding member accounts and Credit Union information

Apprised of market trends

Exercises signing authority within approved limits

Assists with branch scheduling (daily, scheduling vacations, floats, etc.)

Able to assist with retrieving daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports

Effectively deals with member concerns which may include researching, determining possible resolutions, etc.

Takes lead/senior role in guiding the staff and serves as an informational resource

May be asked to serve as a Notary Public

Performs other duties as assigned
