The Children’s Museum of Denver is seeking a Part Time Exhibit Technician (ET) to join the Museum Team.
Responsible for and directly active in maintaining, repairing and improving all existing and incoming experiences, props and consumables, the ET works closely with the Exhibits team to coordinate and prioritize repairs to deliver the best possible guest experience. The ET will conduct both scheduled and reactive Museum maintenance, repair and improvement duties and may also be called upon to assist with shop maintenance and repair, and some exhibit specific custodial duties.
Essential Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
Outstanding fabrication skills and an eye for detail.
Proficiency and appropriate application of a wide variety of tools, materials and processes, mechanisms, technology and electronics in a workshop environment.
An exceptional ability to identify problems and translate ideas into working solutions.
Practice or knowledge of business and design software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Vectorworks, Alibre, Sketch-Up and CorelDraw.

The position is Part Time position at 20 hours a week and does not qualify for benefits.
Duties involve moderate to heavy physical activity, including heavy lifting up to 50 pounds in typical fabrication, repair, and construction environment. The employee must conduct oneself and activities in a safe and courteous manner in private and public spaces.
