Overview:
The Analyst, Marketing Analytics is responsible for the full life cycle of campaign design, customer selection and results analysis for Macy’s loyalty marketing. Analysts integrate CRM tools, manage direct marketing campaigns, provide data analytics, present results to management and recommend future strategies

Key Accountabilities:
The Analyst, Marketing Analytics is responsible for working in cross-functional teams to providing analysis and segmentation to improve marketing effectiveness and customer insight. Responsible for project management, statistical and financial data analytics and monthly/quarterly presentations to management. Generate ad hoc analysis and reporting for portfolio analysis and marketing research using CIM, SQL and SAS and other tools as appropriate. Current focuses are support of loyalty analysis, product development and customer segmentation. Must work collaboratively with managers in Marketing, Citi, MST, and other entities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

% Of Time: Duties:
40% Primary responsibility for direct marketing analysis and production from Unica/SQL/Business Objects/CIM to support Loyalty marketing. Tasks include prioritizing work, meeting production deadlines, quality control, and process improvement.
40% Position is responsible for improving marketing effectiveness analysis of campaigns. This includes modeling and segmentation analysis using SQL, SAS and other database analysis tools. Partner with other teams in product and process development using database analysis tools. Lead user requirements, implementation testing, and production integration of CIM systems enhancements. 20% Perform ad hoc analysis and reports using SAS, SQL and other tools to support loyalty and portfolio analysis to support marketing and other business areas.

Skill Summary:
Experience with Unica, Business Objects, SQL, and SAS or comparable software
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with an emphasis in marketing and analytical disciplines; or several years related experience and/or training
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Familiarity with the financial services and retail industry preferred
Excellent PC skills, especially spreadsheet modeling and PC database manipulation
Proven track record demonstrating leadership, creativity and logical approaches to problem-solving in a team environment
Demonstrated project management skills in a matrixed environment
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills using Powerpoint
Experience using campaign management and database applications for direct marketing
Experience performing project and segment profitability for campaign effectiveness analysis using reporting software
Experience working in a direct marketing environment especially with mail shops

Proven ability to work in high-pressure environment with adherence to strict timelines, quality, project documentation and audit standards
