Reports to the Clinical Supervisor. Conducts mental health evaluations with children cases of suspected maltreatment. Evaluates the child for trauma and its impact and determines treatment and other needs. Conducts evaluation of parents and other adults to determine their capacity to care for children in a healthy way. Assimilates and summarizes data generated from evaluation and writes a thorough report including findings and recommendations.
Experience, Education and Training Minimum: LCSW required, approximately six to twelve months on-the-job experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written skills. Hospital and mental health experience preferred. Able to multi task crises calls for emergency cepartment and main hospital during shift. Experience with child mental health diagnoses and medical diagnoses a plus. Must work well with multi-disciplinary team.
