A Senior Project Manager manages and leads high risk projects (e.g. large scale, new technology, complex integration, uncertain business needs), or multiple medium risk projects. For these projects, the individual establishes project goals and success factors, develops project plans, budgets and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members, and leads the project teams to successfully achieve those goals in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner possible. The candidate balances cost, schedule, budget, quality and scope. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Senior Project Manager monitors and measures project progress, conducts corrective action as necessary, communicates project status information to all stakeholders, performs risk management, and resolves issues and controls project scope and quality.
The Senior Project Manager works with senior IT management to develop and enhance IT strategies, methodologies, processes and standards, creates templates, and selects and implements project management tools. The candidate researches and incorporates industry best practices as appropriate for TIS. The candidate provides project management mentorship for project leads as requested, and works with supervisors of team members to assist in their professional development.
The candidate is a recognized expert in multiple portfolio business domains and regularly contributes innovative ideas for how projects can contribute to the business. The candidate has the capability to effectively contribute to performance management (e.g. insights in areas for growth) and is a key contributor to product roadmaps for the portfolio. This position may supervise other staff.
We are seeking a Project Manager who will manage the work streams within the program, including the implementation of Mobility and Portal devices for customers. Expectations of this role include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with Integration Management Team, third party vendors, and work stream Project Managers on the execution of the telematics services through identification and management of interdependencies and integration testing efforts.
Manage large professional services vendor onsite resources and off shore development team.
Report and collaborate with Ventera Integration Management Team Program Manager to ensure Ventera quality standards are adhered to.
Facilitate and/or participate in working sessions and sign off meetings that occur onsite.
Maintain the work stream project plan which lists the activities, tasks, assignments, milestones and estimates.
Maintain the work stream project action items, issues and risks.
Coordinate with the Client’s Business Team to communicate with partners.
Manage the program partner work stream project communications and coordination activities with partner and internal departments to meet the schedule.
Participate in regularly scheduled project status meetings.
Prepare and submit weekly status reports.
Align work stream projects to support the broader vision, goals and objectives.
