Northwest Pump & Equipment Co., an established distributor of petroleum, industrial and automatic car wash equipment is recruiting for a Director of Human Resources located at our Corporate Office in Portland, Oregon. Northwest Pump was founded in 1959 and currently operates out of 16 locations in 8 states; Oregon, Washington, Alaska, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, and Nevada.

The successful candidate must be able to work at, and easily move between, strategic and tactical level challenges, and possess the communication skills and personality to relate with people at all levels of the organization. We are looking for someone with a proven history of aligning strategic initiatives with the overall Mission/Vision of the organization.
Primary duties include employee recruitment and retention, compensation structures, ERISA benefits programs (including plan design and administration of self-insured health, 401(k), and ESOP plans), organizational development and training, performance management, supervisor development and coaching, employee relations, HR reporting, and culture building. Will support and participate in various committees (including wellness, safety, employee ownership) and incorporate initiatives within the culture. Will manage other areas such as payroll, employee communication, work comp, employee safety and health, fleet accident reporting and continue improving the programs, policies, and practices associated with meeting the strategic and operational goals of the organization. Will also be responsible for an affiliated company, SolvOne, LLC. Position has one direct report.
