Belimed has an immediate need for a CAD Designer/Junior Project Manager in the Charleston, SC office. This person will be responsible for applying appropriate standards, procedures and specifications to create complex design layout, architectural drawings and documentation. Must ensure that all drawings and documentation are in proper format and comply with company, industrial and applicable customer specifications.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of drafting principles and appropriate system software
Participates in research and implementation of 3D modeling, workflow simulation and animation software to create and present world-class solutions to customers
Coordinates medical equipment placement on construction documents
Interprets architectural data gathered from field inspections, on-site inspections, site surveys, architectural notes, sketches, blueprints, and photographs in order to create required technical documentation packages
Ensures that all drawings and documents are in proper format, comply with company and industry standards and specifications meet the quality, cost and productivity objectives of both the company and the customer
Creates and develops BIM models, renderings, and walkthroughs
Updates, organizes, and enforces CAD/BIM Standards and Procedures
Architectural design of Medical Facilities to accommodate our large Medical Equipment
Completes site surveys in existing facilities and issues CAD "as builts"
Collaborates with Architect, engineers, facilities and clinical end user in: space planning; materials flow & personnel traffic analysis; construction and equipment installation phase planning; verification that utilities are appropriate for existing equipment; reviewing existing conditions related to utilities and proposing solutions when these utilities do not match requirements
Collaborate with in house CAD team to produce Construction Documents
Closely work with sales consultants to find the optimal medical equipment for our customers
Presents designs to customers at medical facilities including their design team (architect, engineers, contractors), ranging from the C suite to the clinical end user.
4 year Architectural or Engineering Degree (Industrial Engineer preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2004 or later
25% National Travel
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings from schematics to construction drawings
Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail and ability to work independently
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Ability to maintain a positive/flexible attitude in an environment of change and shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written skills
Familiarity with construction methods and materials
Experience working in the commercial construction field or on major health care projects
Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, 3D Studio Max
Healthcare design experience or basic construction code knowledge
