IT Administrator II, Housing & Residence Life
This position leads Housing and Residence Life in all aspects of computing and electronic technology, managing all computing systems for Housing and Residence Life and providing consultative and support services for the Student Development division. Since many of these systems contain sensitive data, the establishment and maintenance of systems security is paramount.
Systems maintained by this position include: RMS (housing management software) Application Server, RMS Web Server, RMS Database Server, Stanley/BEST card access system, and UTC Housing Website (departmental webmaster). This position is responsible for the database integration (interface) with other necessary campus systems including Banner, Stanley/BEST, and other systems that may be integrated into the campus management plan.
This position insures that appropriate back-up management for all data is incorporated into daily activities.
This position will also be responsible for the training of all users of RMS to ensure the best practices to achieve effectiveness and efficiency.

his position identifies and analyzes operating and hardware issues associated with departmental and divisional operating systems and makes recommends to resolve problems encountered.
This position serves as the liaison with Information Technology Division for implementation of networks, telephone system or other necessary technology in area of student housing.
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of related experience
required; Microsoft SQL
and Windows 2010 server experience required; experience with virtual networks and crystal reporting is preferred.
