The main function of this position is to process mandatory and/or voluntary offers that include, but not limited to, name changes, reverse splits, and cash mergers, purchase offers, tender, exchanges, and odd lots. This position also requires the balancing of various clearing accounts and rec’s and prompt and satisfactory resolution of customer inquiries, problems, issues or errors through customer service help line.
Interacts with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), RBC Wealth Management, RBC Capital Markets, correspondents, trading departments, and various departments within Operation.
Acts as a liaison between branches, correspondents, trading desks and other operations personnel within RBC and DTCC and/or transfer agents ensuring timely, accurate distribution of both mandatory and voluntary offers.
Coordinates announcements and when required disbursement instructions about offers from transfer agents, and/or DTCC, distributing appropriate information to branch personnel.
Monitor various depositories, clearing firms, bank reconciliation, and internal clearing accounts on a daily basis and reconcile differences to ensure accurate and timely processing of mandatory and/or voluntary offers.
Consults with outside Agencies, other Broker Dealers, and firm management to negotiate the means and timing of settlement on both incoming and outgoing
Reviews and tracks mandatory and/or voluntary offers daily, identifying potential changes to offer and client accounts in order ensure that key deadlines of offer are met and distributions are accurate.
Investigates and rectifies in a timely manner all problems, issues or errors, ensuring the various clearing accounts balance efficiently.
Answers questions from field on procedures and other information concerning the status and details of offers, payments etc.
Reviews announcements and submits instructions for tender offers, exchange offers, or mergers with elections.
Reviews and coordinates distribution of announcements about upcoming repayment options and mandatory tenders, as well as process instructions to exercise repayments, retainments, and relinquishments
Exercises the early redemption privilege of eligible CDs and bonds
Processes company’s rights subscriptions, conversion instructions, warrant exercise instructions and CMOP instructions
Combines components into units, or separate a unit into its components
Reviews announcements and mandatory reorganization activities being processed by DTC.
Identifies and distributes daily announcements concerning upcoming shareholder meetings, consent solicitations, and bankruptcies, as well as exercise share/bondholder rights

4 years post high school education with emphasis on finance or equivalent work experience.
