Job Summary:
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury as prescribed by physicians.

Essential Duties:
Performs CT scans of patients.

Explains examination and procedure to patient and positions the patient for CT scan.

Prepares, operates and cares for equipment and other technical instruments used for administration of contrast agent.

Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance.

Maintains cleanliness of the equipment and scanner room.

Performs related duties as required to meeting department and hospital needs.


Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy).

One year of work experience as a CT Technologist.

American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) requied

BLS Certification required.

State Registration

CT Registration is preferred
