Job Title: Corporate Transaction Attorney (Lead M&A Attorney)
Position: This high-profile position serves as the lead mergers and acquisitions attorney for the Company reporting directly to the General Counsel and working in collaboration with the Chief Strategic Officer. The position will have direct and regular interaction with the Strategy Committee. He/she will work closely with the General Counsel in supporting all legal matters relating to mergers and acquisitions and play an integral part in strategy development and execution.
The successful candidate must be collaborative, solution-oriented, and have an ability to think outside the box to create innovative solutions for closing complex transactions. The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, global environment. Required Experience
Minimum of 7- 10+ years as a practicing attorney
Licensed to practice in the United States
Must have experience handling mergers & acquisitions
Strong academic background from top law school
Large law firm experience is essential
Experience with a global, fast paced business
Committed to excellent client service
Business-focused, aware of and sensitive to business needs and goals
Experience in drafting and implementing standardized processes for corporate governance
Responsible for institutionalizing and facilitating transfer of know-how and best practices between various Company businesses and locations
Specific experience in financing related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and related tax issues
Prior experience counseling issues related to corporate governance
Technology background a plus, with enhanced value from experience in the wireless electronics industry
SEC experience a plus
