We are currently seeking an MBA intern for an opportunity within the UTC Innovation Development Group at corporate headquarters. This recently established department will monetize UTC technologies to capture the full commercial value of our innovative portfolio through a number of channels including licensing for use outside of UTCs aerospace and commercial businesses.
The successful candidate will work closely with incumbent business development and licensing managers to identify competitive and intelligence needs and deliver analysis to support goals. He or she must be able to work independently within a team structure.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Manage the entire research process from data collection to substantiated analyses, recommendations and reports.
Develop detailed market research to identify and evaluate commercializing UTC technologies to outside companies.
Support negotiations for licensing agreements
Synthesize quantitative/qualitative intelligence and independently prepare comprehensive research studies; such studies would include market size, growth, structure, key players, barriers to entry, distribution models, and competitive advantages/disadvantages.
Research and report on market conditions or industry changes that may impact the company.
Contribute to market plans and executive decision making with actionable data for identification and commercialization of UTC technologies.
Track competitive landscape and leverage market intelligence to uncover new business opportunities and leads for business development team.
Create and manage methods and procedures for data collection and analysis.
Oversee the maintenance and updating of competitive information and market data.
BA/BS in Engineering, Finance or Sales & Marketing
MBA and/or advanced degree from a nationally recognized program a plus
