Safco Patrician is a division of Liberty Diversified International and leader in the contract furniture industry since 1964. Safco Patrician manufactures a full range of diverse furniture products for businesses, universities, hotels, hospitals and government facilities. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for management and control of the purchasing function, establishing policies and guidelines.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Cost management relative to industry (may include inventory turns, JIT, product landed costs, down time/backlog due to purchasing)
Purchasing principles and concepts
Contract and commerce law
Knowledge of products/markets
Office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, presentations
Investigates new developments in material and supplies
Recommend process and policy changes to reduce costs and improve quality
Manages vendor relationships and agreements
Forecast materials requirements
Product contract administration
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum five years purchasing experience
