My client seeks a Parasitologist to test compounds effective against animal health endoparasites. The ideal Scientist will take on the following responsibilities:
--Procure & maintain parasites to run ex vivo and in vivo bioassays.
--Develop, validate and implement novel in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo assays for endoparasiticide activity.
--Conduct internally (and coordinate with external folks) in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro bioassays with experimental compounds to detect anti-parasitic activity.
--Collect, review, submit to database, and report experimental results to internal and external customers in a prompt and efficient manner.
--Perform on-going research to remain updated of latest information on helminth biology and technology in bioassays for endoparasiticide activity.
--Supervise laboratory personnel assigned to this position.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a PhD with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in industry or working with industrial collaborators during educational training. In addition, this person will have experience performing full range of duties involving the use of endoparasites to discover animal health parasiticides.
Salary: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00
