The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a talented investigator of neural circuits relevant to psychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will join the thriving multi-disciplinary neuroscience research community at UNC and is expected to have and maintain an extramurally funded research program, contribute to the UNC School of Medicine’s teaching mission, and train graduate students in Neuroscience. Applicants with experience in neural circuit dissection, genetic manipulations in model systems, epigenetics, or transcriptional profiling of neuronal populations implicated in mental illness are especially encouraged to apply, as are those with a research focus on reproductive neuroscience. This is a full-time tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level. Minimum qualifications include a PhD or MD in a basic science, with postdoctoral research experience.
