This position will be accountable for managing ad-hoc and recurring business reporting, performing business and/or financial data analysis, and developing assigned subject matter expertise. The Lead Sales Operations Consultant will independently and collaboratively design and develop reporting and analytic solutions for support of performance management and business initiatives. The Lead Sales Operations Consultant will be responsible for the following:
Manage and prioritize requests for analysis and reporting
Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports as necessary
Design and develop analysis and reporting solutions for recurring deliverables
Identify and implement process and system improvements for data analysis and reporting
Analyze stakeholder and audience needs and define business requirements
Regularly review analysis and reporting for accuracy and relevancy
Reconcile and resolve data discrepancies leveraging root cause analysis
Interpret and explain trend and variance analysis within assigned subject matters
Author analysis, trend and performance commentary, notes, and summaries when/where appropriate
Collaborate with Sales Effectiveness, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, Finance and IT to maximize potential of our analytics and reporting assets.
7 years of experience with one or more of the following; Business Analysis, Financial Analysis, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Database development
Previous business reporting and relational database experience
A proven track record of employing processes and systems to automate reporting and analytics
Strong analytical, communications (oral and written), presentation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Record of forming partnerships and influencing effectively across diverse functional areas within a large organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate when necessary and meet tight deadlines
Strong understanding of statistics and business performance measurement concepts
Expert Excel (Pivot Tables, V/HLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF, 2 axis charting) and proficient PowerPoint skills
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to consolidate and integrate a wide range of inputs
Proven ability to decompose high level requirements into specific detailed requirements
Experience in technology and/or telecommunications industry
Exposure to and understanding of sales organizations and sales operations
Bachelor's Degree with technical, business, or mathematical emphasis preferred
Relational database experience (SQL, Oracle, DB2) and understanding of logical data models for Data Warehouses and Data Marts Advanced SQL scripting skills
Demonstrated ability in developing complex automated reporting solutions using tools such as SQL, MS Access, SAS, IBI WebFOCUS, Crystal Reports or Excel Project management experience a plus
Sales compensation familiarity
Salesforce.com experience preferred
