Job Title: Human Resources Specialist/HRIS

Job Reports to: Director, Human Resources
The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the administration and operations of various Human Resources Information Systems and Technology. Additionally, this position provides backup for the HR Assistant.
Set up, perform and maintain all Human Resources technology (HRIS payroll system, self-service, time off, and HR Intranet on SharePoint).
Serve as liaison and primary contact with third parties and others to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Lead the review, testing, and implementation of new software and upgrades.
Ensure usability of systems and data-integrity.
Assure operation processes using HR systems are efficient, accurate and timely.
Provide back up for HR Assistant.
Provide a variety of reports to HR staff and other departments as scheduled or requested.
Prepare and administer compliance reports as scheduled and requested.
Compliance administration and reporting including AAP, EEO-1, Vets100. etc.
Assist in coordinating SOX and ISO HR activities for the company.
Assist HR Team members with other HR projects as needed.
4-5 years of HR work experience along with a focus in Human Resources Information Systems, payroll and other computer systems; Ceridian systems experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office required; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. HTML as well as SQL knowledge preferred.
Ability to handle confidential/employee issues
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail

Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Service-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
Certification or Education in Human Resources preferred, but not required.
