University Communications and Marketing is looking for a student employee to work in our University Web Communication Services (WebCom) group. This group provides various web services to campus including website maintenance, webpage creation, and migration to the University Web Content Management System. We are looking for a motivated individual that possess Web Design experience or training. This position will work with WebCom staff on various web related projects ranging from minor web site updates to complete site creation or migration. A majority of work will be done using the Standard UNM template and UNM's Web Content Management system while adhering to brand and identity standards. *Please note that this position will not be a role that will develop web applications or work in php, MySQL or other similar tools.
Primary Duties/Essential Job Functions: Write standards-compliant HTML, XHTML and CSS Develop and maintain Multiple Websites using Dreamweaver, Cascade Server and other tools. Design and update existing websites using appropriate technical solutions Ensure that websites are accessible from a variety of browsers and platforms Required Skills: Experience programming HTML, JS, XML, XSL, and CSS. Experience using Adobe Dreamweaver Experience using Adobe Photoshop to create and edit web images/graphics. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.) Strong communication skills Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way Comfort working in both Windows and Mac environments Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques
